The Pisgah Woodchuck openback banjo features all-native Appalachian woods and a rolled brass tone ring. The scooped fretboard is nice for over-the-neck playing. No fancy frills, just down-to-earth banjo basics and classic old-time sound with good sustain and volume. Not too bright, not overpowering, it can be muted for an even plunkier tone.
